SRHS Wrestler Brendan Woody Named All-American

Over the weekend of March 28-30, South River High School freshman Brendan Woody became a high school All-American at the National High School Coaches Association Freshman National Tournament in Virginia Beach.

A first-year wrestler who started competing in the sport at the suggestion of his football coach and wrestled for South River’s JV team this season, Woody placed fifth in the 285-lbs weight class at the tournament and is the first wrestler in school history to achieve All-American status.
