South River Starts 3-0 In County


Four goals and an assist by Taylor Bresnahan (13) helped the South River girls’ lacrosse team open its spring campaign with a nail-biting 10-9 victory over Broadneck on March 21.

Since, the Seahawks have continued to play solid lacrosse, going 3-0 in county play as of April 7 with subsequent wins over Meade and North County.

Despite losses to Century in late March and Archbishop Spalding on April 6, the Seahawks are nonetheless strong contenders for the county and region this season. The race for playoff position should come down to the wire, as South River doesn’t face top county rivals Severna Park and Annapolis until the final two games of the regular season.
