AACS Girls Repeat As IAAM C Champs


The Annapolis Area Christian School girls lacrosse team defeated St. Timothy’s 15-10 at Archbishop Spalding High School on May 14 to complete a 16-0 season and win the Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland C Conference championship for the second year in a row. Five goals each by Amanda Wadsworth and Rachel Kawecki, two goals by Madi DiAngelo, scores by Victoria Dix, Brooke Wadsworth and Maggie Anderson and nine saves by Kaleigh Kotula powered the Eagles to victory.

The 2016 IAAM C Conference champion AACS Eagles are Kawecki, DiAngelo, Anderson, Kotula, Dix, Amanda Wadsworth, Brooke Wadsworth, Abby Boyer, Jami Brophy, Leah Cotton, Julia Dittrich, Anicah Hall, Ryan Lively, Jenai Molden, Mackenzee Neiswender, Olivia Patton, Julia Schaefer, Natalie Smith, Maggie Stallings, Jillian Tyburski and Sydney White. The team is led by head coach Lauren Burleigh and assistant coach Annie Jubb.
