Trees – when they’re properly maintained, they can make any piece of property healthier and more aesthetically pleasing, but when they’re neglected, they can be a nuisance or even a safety hazard. For Maryland homeowners who lack the knowledge or time for proper tree care, or who find themselves in an emergency situation, UnLIMBited Tree Service is there to offer passionate, professional service for any arbor-related need.

UnLIMBited Tree Service began when founder and owner Charles “Chuck” Preslipsky was in his early 20s and started doing tree-care jobs to supplement his work as a D.C. firefighter. He developed a good business sense and decided to dedicate his skills to starting his own company.

In the 14 years it has been in business, UnLIMBited Tree Service has branched out from serving Anne Arundel County to serving areas from the Washington, D.C., beltway up to the Pennsylvania line. As its name would suggest, UnLIMBited offers any and every arbor-related service a homeowner could need – pruning and trimming, removal and takedown, stump grinding, storm damage cleanup, lot clearing and more.

And because Preslipsky understands his customers’ sense of urgency, he emphasizes timeliness in all projects. “The turnaround time from when you call the office requesting an estimate to when I have my feet on the ground completing the work could be the same day or the next day,” Preslipsky said, indicating that the number of crews he has working allows for seamless efficiency in tasks for clients.

Based on the response he hears, Preslipsky knows his outstanding work is recognized. “I get feedback from clients who say, ‘You guys did an outstanding job,’ or, ‘The cleanup was remarkable,’” he reflected. “It’s good to see people out there appreciate a service-based company.”

UnLIMBited further connects with customers by regularly participating in community events and other programs. “My focus is giving back to the communities that we provide service for,” Preslipsky explained. “Being in business is more than ‘We provide a service and you’ll pay me for the service and our job is done.’ That’s the beginning of the introduction.”

“After five or six jobs for a customer, we actually become friends,” he continued. “There needs to be more of that personal involvement with the community. We’re doing tree work for you, but how can I make your life better?”

Another advantage that UnLIMBited offers its customers is education. When a homeowner calls for a specific tree to be removed, Preslipsky observed, there might be other issues that the homeowner has no way of knowing, and UnLIMBited crews take the time to offer wisdom and insight into how to prevent future problems and what other projects, if any, might be necessary. Additionally, Preslipsky sends out a quarterly newsletter to his client base of 6,000, reminding them about important tasks they might consider for that time of year and how they can keep their trees and yards in the best condition possible.

Preslipsky’s goals for UnLIMBited include further expansion of its service area, and within three years, he hopes to have crews working on the Maryland-Delaware shore. He noted also that he is considering a North Carolina branch.

UnLIMBited Tree Service is open 8:00am-5:00pm every day of the week with additional 24-hour emergency service. The main office is located at 8448 Alvin Road in Pasadena and can be contacted by calling 410-360-1618.
