Written by Colin Murphy | August 24, 2016

On Wednesday, September 28, Anne Arundel County Public Schools will present an NCAA Symposium titled Take Responsibility For Your Future to educate rising 8th-, 9th- and 10th-grade student-athletes and their families on the recruitment and admissions process for students seeking to play athletics in college.

The symposium will take place in the Annapolis High School auditorium from 7:00pm-9:00pm.

Maryland men’s lacrosse head coach John Tillman is the event’s keynote speaker, and topics covered will include the admission process for student-athletes; the recruitment process from the perspective of coaches and student-athletes; the difference between DI, DII and DIII; and a day in the life of a college student-athlete. There will also be a question-and-answer session with a panel of college student-athletes. Students, families, coaches and guidance counselors are invited to attend.
